Visit Isle of Wight – the Island’s Destination Management Organisation stepped in to keep the festival going albeit with much less resource. We’re now back to being the Isle of Wight Walking Festival!
It takes place between May 3 and 18 and features over 250 walks, ranging from short strolls to round the Island events, including the famous speed dating walk and fossil-themed events.
As part of the sponsorship, Garmin will provide the latest GPS innovations to walkers including competitions, demonstrations and hands-on training on equipment.
It offered 39 walks and had over 5000 walkers take part.
It has grown over the years and in 2018 we are delighted to say that we have almost 100 walks on offer.
